Over the last 5 years I’ve heard a lot of stories. Sadly, most of the people that I talk to about donating to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer 3Day have some sort of story to tell about their own experience with cancer. It’s very rare that it hasn’t touched them, their families, their friends, their co-workers, their neighbors… it’s everywhere.
Along with the stories also come questions. Here are a few statistics and studies that highlight some of the most questioned facts. The items that I highlighted in pink are the ones most shocking to me.

I also found it very interesting to see the consistent increase of probability as we age.

So where does that leave us? What can we do? Although there is 100% guaranteed prevention here are the guidelines distributed by the American Cancer Society:
Team Coconutter Strutters will continue to do everything they can to raise the funds needed to help with prevention, treatment and research for a cure! If you would like to donate, please click on a name on the right hand side of the screen.
